Greengate Villages are proud to announce we are in full compliance with the Retirement Living Code of Conduct which came into effect on 1 January 2020. The Code is the combined initiative of two peak industry bodies who represent retirement living operators across Australia: the Retirement Living Council (part of the Property Council of Australia) and Leading Age Services Australia (LASA).
The Retirement Living Code of Conduct is voluntary, however Greengate has chosen to sign-up along with other leading retirement operators, to demonstrate our commitment to high standards and resident satisfaction in each of our retirement villages. This was an obvious choice for us here at Greengate, since the Code of Conduct directly aligns with our core value of enriching the lives of all our residents.

As a result of the Code of Conduct, we have adjusted some of our policies to help ensure we are providing a completely transparent service for our wonderful residents, and residents-to-be.”
The Code of Conduct came after an extensive 12-month development process which included consultation with retirement village operators, residents and other interested stakeholders. It has been designed to help retirement village residents dissect and understand all of the retirement living information which has been provided to them about their rights and responsibilities, and to outline a formal process of complaints.
